I. kategória - je určená študentom stredných škôl (resp. študentom kvinty až oktávy osemročného gymnázia), ktorí navštevujú ZUŠ na Slovensku alebo v Českej republike.

II. kategória - je určená študentom konzervatórií (Slovensko, Česká republika) alebo szkoly muzycznej II. stupňa (Poľsko). Veková hranica súťažiacich v uvedenej kategórii je 22 rokov. V danej kategórii sa za jednu inštitúciu môžu zúčastniť len dvaja študenti z každého odboru.

III. kategória - je určená študentom pedagogických fakúlt, ktorí nie sú študenti, maturanti, príp. absolventi konzervatórií a ich časová dotácia na predmet organ / klavír / spev je menej ako 45 minút.

IV. kategória - je určená študentom pedagogických fakúlt, ktorí sú študenti, maturanti, príp. absolventi konzervatórií v odboroch hra na klavíri, hra na organe, spev, alebo ktorí sú študentmi študijného programu: Učiteľstvo predmetu hra na organe / hra na klavíri / spev v kombinácii s hudobnou výchovou a všetkým študentom, ktorých časová dotácia na predmet organ / klavír / spev je viac ako 45 minút a viac.

Pozn. 1: Organizátori si vyhradzujú právo preradiť súťažiaceho do inej kategórie na základe náročnosti vybraného repertoáru.

Category I - is intended for students of secondary schools or secondary grammar schools (ie. students of the 5th to 8th grades) who attend music school at Slovakia or Czech republic.

Category II - is intended for students of conservatories (Slovakia, Czech Republic) or music schools of the second level (Poland). The age limit for competitors in 2nd category is 22 years. Only two students from each department can participate in a given category per institution.

Category III - is intended for students of pedagogical faculties who are not conservatory students or graduates and their time allotment for lessons of organ / piano / singing is less than 45 minutes a week. 

Category IV - is intended for students of pedagogical faculties who are students, graduates, or graduates of conservatories in the fields of piano playing, organ playing, singing, or who are students of the study programme: teaching of organ playing / piano playing / singing in combination with music education and all students whose time allocation for lessons of organ / piano / singing is over 45 minutes and more a week.

Note 1st: The organizers reserve the right to move the competitor to other category on the basis of chosen repertoire difficulty.
